Beach Time

It is a really warm one here in Iowa today so it would be a great day for the beach - but, Iowa and beaches don't really go together.  I made this fun shaped card today using the digital set from Doodle Pantry called Mini Summer Trio.  I used the lifesaver the other day now the shovel.  I use Microsoft Word to play with my digital images.  I enlarged the shovel to almost 5 1/2 inches tall.  I printed it on the sunburst paper.  I then flipped the image and printed it on heavy white cardstock.  I folded the white cardstock in the middle of the handle as you can see below.  So you can write your message on the inside of the large part of the shovel.
The sentiment is also from the set and is being held on by a star paper clip.  I used the Copic marker YR18 to highlight what I was thinking would be the shadowed edges of the shovel.  This was so quick and easy to make.
I would like to submit this card into these challenges:
Crafting for all Seasons - Don't be square
Fab 'n' Funky - Shaped card
Cards in Envy - Fun in the sun
My Craft Spot - Fancy edges
Perfectly Rustic - Sunburts

You're a Lifesaver!

I have a fun card to show you tonight.  This is as CAS as I can get.   I always love looking at everyone else's clean cards but I think I am just scared of white.  So this is my take on a clean and simple card.  I used the digital stamp set from Doodle Pantry called Mini Summer Trio.  I always have a thing for pun sentiments so when I saw this I knew I would use it.  I paperpieced the lifesaver ring with the red star paper.
I would like to submit this card into these challenges:

Catch The Bug - Summertime

Gnarly Dude!

Boy cards really are my thing.  Not sure why but I really enjoy everything about making one.  My card to show you today is using a new digital set from Doodle Pantry.  The set is called Dirt Rides.  With this set you will receive two different images, colored each two different ways, 8 sentiments, and 8 digital papers. The two sentiments in the bottom left hand corner are from the set.   I really enjoy the part of coloring so I never use a precolored image but they are becoming very popular.  I used lock washers on my card, I couldn't find any real gears in the shop.
I would like to submit this card into these challenges:

The Squirrel and The Fox - Metal - washers
Addicted to CAS - Transportation
Digi Galore - Blue

Another gas can??

I have made my Father's Day card for my hubby.  Is my husband the only one like this? We have several, I'm thinking like 5 gas cans sitting outside our shed.  We just had this conversation tonight because he was going to mow the yard.  Why, in the world do we need so many cans?  He told me he needed a different gas or mix of gas for everything he uses.  I just shook my head, I think he just has a gas can addiction, but as I am heading off to my craftroom I can't blame him for having an addiction.
This card is made using the Doodle Pantry set called Classic Bug. The sentiment on the front and inside of the card is also from Doodle Pantry but the set is called Man Stuff.  The inside sentiment fits him perfectly.
I would like to submit this card into these challenges:
Digi Sketch - Sketch and Men
Ooh, La, La - Male
Crafty Sentiments - Masculine

Father's Day Fishing

I made this card for my dad for Father's Day.  He loves to go fishing and will get a kick out of this card.  I used the set from Digital Delights called Gone Fishing.  The fish are from the Bucket of Fish and the hook is from the Bobber and Hook background. The pictures of the stamps are below.  I changed the size of the bucket image to get the different sizes of fish.  The whole fish is the one that is not in the bucket.  The half fish is the first fish head down in the bucket.  I then cut the hook out of the circle.  I stamped Dad on a piece of paper and tried to cut it out like a worm.  I already know my Dad's response - yep, the fish swim all around my worm.
I had no idea how to color the fish so I copied the colors of the Bucket of Fish colored stamp.  I also used my Atyou Spica Gold sparkly pen on the whole fish.  In person they have just a little sparkle - kinda like real fish.  I had so much fun making this card.

Aud Sentiments - Any sentiment for a guy

Felt Flowers

Fun felt flowers.  I used a Sizzix die that I had to cut all of the flowers out.  I wasn't sure if the die would cut through the felt but sure enough.  So this card turned out to be fun and fast.  The sentiment on this card is from a new digital set from Doodle Pantry.  The set is called USA Charlie.

Bug Me

I had a fun time cutting this card.  Well, it was cutting and cutting.  This cute bug is from Doodle Pantry.  The set is called Classic Bug and Gas Can.   I enlarged the bug to 5 1/2 inches to almost 3 1/2 inches.  I folded the base and left it attached together a little at the top.  I do with I would have left a little more space at the top.  You can see it in the picture below.  I then printed the bug on white, grey, orange, pink, and the designer paper with the flowers on it.  Then I started the cutting and layering on the base bug. Finally I added a little glitter on all the little flowers.
This is the inside of the bug card.  The sentiment is also from the digital set.
I would like to submit this card into these challenges:
Cards In Envy - Feeling Buggy

Happy June 1st!

It's June 1st and that means new digital stamp sets at Doodle Pantry.  This month the release is 11 stamp sets and they are all so fun!  I made two cards for the release and they are two very different sets.  The first one I worked with is called "Classic Cars 3".  Everyone is always in need of male cards and the Doodle Pantry car sets are perfect.  There are two new car releases this month.  This set comes with two different cars, 3 sentiments, and digital paper.  The two cars also come colored to match the paper.  I colored the car using Copic markers.
Now for my second card.  I used the new set called "Carousel Horse 5".  I colored this horse also.  Very pink - does not even cover it.  But, I know if this was a horse on a carousel this would be the one my Granddaughter would choose.  Lots of pink and sparkles.  This set also comes with a colored horse, 4 sentiments, and digital paper to match.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you will hop on over to the Doodle Pantry store and check out all the new sets.
